Cortina D’Ampezzo, Italy: A location we’ve been flying to for several years, Cortina D’Ampezzo in northern Italy has been a popular destination for avid skiers, especially since the 1956 Winter Olympics. Quite a few VIPs choose to spend time at the ski races here and despite the celebrity following, the area still has a small town feel with excellent hospitality. St. Moritz, Switzerland: Both a stunning summer spa resort as well as a top class winter ski destination, this two-time Winter Olympic host is a dream destination for skiers with an impressive 1,856m elevation and trails that stretch hundreds of miles. With a fantastic frozen lake and a variety of events, St. Moritz boasts some popular sports venues. Stay at one of the luxury hotels, book a table at a top-class restaurant and soak up the modern Alpine lifestyle whilst browsing the local shops.
Lech Zürs am Arlberg, Austria: Home to one of the most sought-after resorts in Austria, Lech Zürs am Arlber is a skier’s paradise hosting tremendous and picturesque resorts used often by Olympic skiing champions. Skiing at Lech also provides sophisticated après-ski time, including some outdoor ice bars serving champagne & fabulous cocktails. If skiing isn’t your forte, you can enjoy stunning walking trails, browse exclusive boutiques, or even take a horse-drawn sleigh ride from the picturesque village into the romantic Zug Valley.
Chamonix, France: One of the most exclusive resorts in Europe, Chamonix makes the perfect destination for this ski season. Famous for having some of the best views of Mont Blanc, Chamonix is a very popular resort for international skiers and is rated as one of the top ten in the world thanks to its reputation as a truly fascinating town, which also has a permanent population.
